A card set centered around a basketball theme. I chose to create a card set with basketball players and their different vibrant team colours, while still keeping cohesiveness to make them work as a set. All backgrounds on the cards represents each player's nickname. (Kobe - Black Mamba, Lebron - King James, Giannis - Greek Freak, Curry - Splash Brother) To keep cohesiveness, I added a white outline on all the characters to emulate a paper cutout, and also yellow highlights in the clothing regardless of team colours.
I brainstorm ideas for the card sets by sketching out thumbnails and playing around with layout. I then move on to playing around with colours to make the cards more of a set. And lastly I polish the cards to be more cohesive.
